Welcome to our newly established Freedom in Christ Africa website. You can learn about who we are and what we do. Click on the tabs to get an introduction to our ministry, staff and resources.

Our goal is to train disciples of Jesus Christ to disciple others. This starts by helping believers understand their identity in Christ and how to truly believe what God says is actually and practically true about them. This understanding along with a walk of faith involving confession & repentance, enables disciples to grow to maturity and put aside what has hindered their growth.

The result is freedom, fruitfulness, and a contagious faith of intimacy with Christ. This ministry is for every Christian and our desire is to train church leaders and Christian organizations to make growing, fruitful disciples who disciple others (Matthew 28:19-20).

A Note from the Africa Director
Almost every day I meet someone who is in need of greater intimacy with Christ. Some are stuck and have stopped growing. Some have started looking to anyone who will teach them something “new” because their faith has become stale. Others want to share their faith but the Good News is no longer the good news that it once was because repeated sin has stolen their joy.

As someone who has known Christ for over 45 years and has earnestly sought to walk with Him, I urge you to explore this ministry and the truths. While I first learned of these truths 26 years ago, I know I need to continually reset my mind and heart with God’s truth found in His Word.

In the last 5 years, these truths have continually refreshed me and led to the intimate walk with Christ that I had longed to have. There is a new “rest” and “abiding” in Him in the midst of working as hard as ever. The joy is here and Aileen and I commend it to you.

May the Lord multiply your joy & intimacy with Christ,

Dr. Howard Ostendorff

One man’s experience:

Always plagued by doubts and self-condemnation, I was attempting to gain the righteousness, which had already been granted to me. Like a dog chasing his tail, I hoped to catch something I already had. The truth that I have been adopted as God’s child, seated with Christ in the Heavens, and am free forever from condemnation lifts such a weight off of my shoulders. I feel like Atlas, having finally been allowed to set down the world and rest.” Drew

So glad to hear how well it is going. We used the material with middle school students and Colorado Uplift in the 90’s.
